Ghanaian passport holders can now travel visa-free to the Maldives, Zambia, and Antigua and Barbuda following the formal entry into force of new visa waiver agreements announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in September 2026.
Latest Visa Waiver Details
- Maldives & Zambia: Visa-free stay for up to 30 days for ordinary, service, and diplomatic passport holders.
- Antigua and Barbuda: Visa-free stay for up to 90 days for all passport categories.
Important Travel Conditions
- No Employment/Study Exemption: The visa waiver only applies to tourism, short visits, or general business. Activities like studying or working still require prior formal authorization.
- Immigration Rules Apply: Visa-free entry does not replace standard entry documents, valid passports, or health requirements
